Anne is a graduate Food Technologist. After 10 years in the food industry in R & D, Quality Assurance and Marketing she moved into Public Relations, working with clients in the food industry. She is a Director of Peppermint Press Ltd, the publisher of the bi-monthly NZIFST Journal, FoodNZ. She collates editorial and advertising, edits and manages production of the magazine, including dealing with designers and printers.

Food science and technology writing

On completion of her degree she spent 10 years working in the NZ food industry (FMCG, meat, poultry, sugar) starting in technical roles and moving into marketing developing a solid knowledge of the industry. She worked in Sydney in public relations for 5 years, developing skills in writing for press releases, technical client reports, in-house magazines.

Print production management
Extensive experience in print production management for magazines, brochures, manuals etc.
Part of Anne's role in public relations was producing in-house magazines for clients. She also spent 5 years in SEA, creating newsletters and brochures for Expat groups and companies. On returning to NZ she ran a graphic display business for 5 years before returning to food business, first as editor of FoodNZ for Retail Media, then taking ownership of the magazine in 2006.

Website copywriting and maintenance
Experience in web-based projects, maintaining and updating websites. E-newsletters on MailChimp and Campaign Monitor.

Editor and Publisher of Food New Zealand, magazine of NZIFST.
Serves on NZIFST Conference Committee each year as publications contact: Peppermint Press publishes the Conference Handbook. Assists committee with sourcing speakers as required.
Until 2017, was NZIFST representative on NZ Food Awards Organising Committee and was a judge in 2018.
Member of the Local Organising Committee for IUFoST Congress 2020 (Managed preparation of the bid documents for the Congress) as promotions liaison with Avenues Event Management and Tourism New Zealand. Developed front end of conference website.
